Are the people you are listening to experts in selling or experts in their given fields or both? Many can sell their services with a greater expertise than the expertise they have in the services they are selling. Watch out, look out and dig deeper.
Are you selling with soul or do you come off like you are selling your soul? If people only see you selling your expertise all the time, without experiencing elements of you sharing the expertise and knowledge you have, then what reason are you giving them to trust you or buy?Â
Backing up your argument with unnamed sources, rumored facts and hearsay only backs your view and your professional reputation into a corner. Argue the facts with validity, authority and substantial proof or walk away. It is ok to say you don’t know and it can serve your reputation better than sharing what you can’t prove.
Sharing pictures of yourself in front of houses you don’t own, standing by cars you don’t drive, and holding money that isn’t yours as you lie that it is, only sets you up for questions you can’t answer and a completely false foundation.
