The desire for connection with the Divine and our formless inner self is at the foundation of all desire for human connection.
Relationships are used by the darkness to keep people revolving around the egoβs demands. For a moment, people see the light of the divine in each other. They run to it and then quickly forget the light they once saw as their fears reclaim their consciousness. Thus begins the ongoing battle to protect oneβs own βrightsβ, in case they be forgotten or betrayed. The tally of what is owed is counted, the guilt of perceived wrong doings is cast upon the other, oneβs freedom must be paid as the price for βloveβ, and it is only in short periods of peace when all of this is forgotten. Those moments are the precious windows of the Soul.
If love isn't there, nothing will grow. If it is, there is always hope and it will win in the end. Love is vital and sacrosanct.
If we try every day to find that place inside us that can see a little more light and give a little more love, the quality of our life will improve significantly. We all long for love. It is the human inheritance to have such a longing. However, we must discover that in order to find it, we must give it. And when we learn to give it, we find that it is, quite amazingly, everywhere around us.
One gets away with a lot when one is in an unchallenging relationship or is too busy to invest in one at all. Mostly, one gets away from oneself.
Convince yourself everyday that you are worthy of a good life. Let go of stress, breathe. Stay positive, all is well.
The path is paved with consistent, conscious mental and spiritual alertness and the gradual growth of goodness in our heart and clarity in our mind. We are awake. If we keep trying to understand, we will understand. If we keep telling ourselves that we are loved by Life and if we keep looking for evidence of that love, we will find it.
I hope that we will never be late. Too late to love, too late to forgive, too late to hug, too late to sing a song, too late to dance, too late to hold hands, too late to say... Please stay, there's so much more. Don't let us ever be too late, to do all that our heart desires.
Self-pity is spiritual suicide. It is an indefensible self-mutilation of the soul.
To be creative, first we must be generous. Then we must have a quiet, indomitable belief in our own worth.
Being liked or not, having company or not, being understood or not, being acknowledged or not are not issues of concern on the spiritual path.
