Homo sapiens, you and me, we are basically the same as people 10,000 years ago. The next revolution will change that.
I never react to events in the outside world; I always react to the sensations in my own body. (...) I was taught that if you're going to study something, you must understand it deeply and be familiar with primary sources. But if you write a history of the whole world, you can't do this. That's the trade-off.
