Yeah, well, the F-bomb - it's become as ubiquitous as the word 'like.' People just throw the word 'like' around as punctuation. And I think in a lot of everyday speech, the F-bomb has become a kind of dash or a comma.
I'm one of those people who lies awake all night and worries about all the horrible things that can go wrong, whether a comma was wrong.
A gay person in office can set a tone, can command respect not only from the larger community but from the young people in our own community who need both examples and hope.
