Collaboration is a business strategy that integrates innovative partners seeking blue oceans.
Thriving in today’s marketplace frequently depends on making a transformation to become more agile.
In business, build a runway. Make sure it's long enough to build enough momentum to lift off and fly. Put the right team in place to get it done.
Everything changed when I switched from saying “I have to do this” to “I GET to do this”. When I started viewing my art as a way to serve instead of building for my own profit. When I tried to meet people with an open heart and a will to love them instead of guarding my own history of solitude and brokenness. Dedication. Giving. Loving. That is the goal.
Like branches in a tree, we all grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one. Poem 'Forked Branches' 2010 Rise Up and Salute the Sun, pg. 108
Growth doesn’t happen because we’ve accumulated some number of years. Growth happens when we learn. We mature when we are able to triumph over yesterday’s mistakes. Whatever success we have today is because we dared to fail and learned from it.
Who are you trying to protect, punish or please by not succeeding?
We need not compare ourselves to others in order to gauge our success. We need only compare ourselves to the people we used to be.
After working with thousands of people who had lost their No, I realized that there are three distinct aspects to Find Your No that you must master if you want to stop being a people-pleaser and start living the life you were meant to. You must find your personal no, find your interpersonal no, and find your global no. To find your personal no you examine the activities you're doing, and determine which ones are draining your time, money, or energy that you've allowed to continue.... Use the three-step detect (I see the demand), deflect (I ask what's behind it), and reflect (I synergize) method to find your interpersonal no... Your Global No deals with one fundamental issue, that of integrity.
Success is consistently doing what you said you would do with clarity, focus, ease, and grace. Success, seen this way, is an inside job. You don't compare yourself to anyone else. You don't even look at whether what you're doing is big or small. You look instead at the quality of your action and of your experience.
Each of us operates on three levels. The first is who we pretend to be. Underneath who we pretend to be is who we're worried we are. The third aspect of ourselves lives at the center: who we really are.
Would you prefer to be known for your complaints or your contributions? Your issues or your ideas? Your drama or your dreams? Your reasons or your results?
Are you green and growing or ripe and rotting? This quote from McDonald's founder Ray Kroc neatly sums up our need to continuously innovate and create in our lives.
As a man's real power grows, and his knowledge widens, ever the way he can follow grows narrower, until at last he chooses nothing, but does only and wholly what he must do. - Ursula LeGuin
Like growth, success is often a steppingstone from failure.
Sometimes we have to fall apart to see the pieces
The higher the obstacles, the higher we get to rise
The ultimate goal is the goal to succeed.
Sometimes the door closes on a relationship, not because we failed but because something bigger than us says this no longer fits our life. So, lock the door, shed a tear, turn around and look for the new door that's opened. It's a sign that you're no longer that person you were, it's time to change into who you are. It's going to be okay.
Faithfulness in small things leads to faithfulness in great things, and never the other way around.
