Commitment when confronted by conflict, produces character.
Human happiness is defined by the hardships and conflicts you have been through. The greater they are, the greater is your happiness.
The only walls that exist are those you have placed in your mind. And whatever obstacles you conceive, exist only because you have forgotten what you have already achieved.
When you engage in an argument. Always remember that crazy people see themselves as normal. In their mind there is nothing wrong with them or what they are doing . Only normal people see them being crazy.
Our character is not defined by the struggles and conflicts we traverse in life, nor by wins and losses; but instead, by the battles we dare to fight.
[Resolving intractable conflicts] takes time. John Paul Lederach once said that he almost got thrown out of a meeting in Northern Ireland regarding the conflict there when he suggested it might take them a long to get out of the conflict as it had to get into it (centuries). This is of course not always the case, but it is a prudent consideration.
Peace does not mean an absence of conflicts; differences will always be there. Peace means solving these differences through peaceful means; through dialogue, education, knowledge; and through humane ways.
They need foes so that they can justify the spending. The misuse of power. The curtail of liberty. Control. These so called, terror groups, always seem to come along at the right time. Misdirections are what make people think that they are seeing the truth. You can arm people with sticks, but not with knowledge or wisdom.
Every father and son have conflicts.
