It's not about whether or not someone is a bigot, but whether or not the argument which that someone is arguing is worth being a bigot about.
A mind set in its ways is wasted. Don't do it.
They're probably even more repulsive than atheists, at least to most of us here, but the fact is that religious dogmatists' problem is exactly the same as the story's atheist'sā arrogance, blind certainty, a closed-mindedness that's like an imprisonment so complete that the prisoner doesn't even know he's locked up.
Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in.
