Yuval Noah Harari

Professor Yuval Noah Harari is an Israeli historian and a professor in the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his Ph.D. from University of Oxford in the year 2002. He is the best-selling author of the popular science books Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind (2014), Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (2016), and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century (2018). He specializes in world history, military history, and medieval history and his writings explore free will, consciousness, intelligence, and happiness. He has twice won the Polonsky Prize for Creativity and Originality, in 2009 and 2012 and in 2011 he won the Society for Military History’s Moncado Award for outstanding articles on military history. Prof. Harari lectures around the world on the topics examined in his books and articles and also teaches a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) titled A Brief History of Humankind.
