Lisa See
Lisa See is a Chinese-American writer and novelist. She was born in Paris, France. See’s mother, Carolyn See, was a professor, writer, and novelist. Her paternal great-grandfather was Chinese, making her one-eighth Chinese. Her books include On Gold Mountain, Flower Net, The Interior, Dragon Bones, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Peony in Love, and Shanghai Girls, which made it to the 2010 New York Times bestseller list. She was named the 2001 National Woman of the Year by the Organization of Chinese American Women.
