Stephanie Garber is an American author of young adult fiction. She is best known for the young-adult romance trilogy Caraval, which has been translated to over 30 languages and has become an international best-seller. Garber's books involve themes of love, loss, sacrifice, and hope. Garber attempted to write several novels and received many rejections before being discovered by a literary agent after writing her fourth book, a space opera. She teaches creative writing at William Jessup University in Northern California where she turns assignments into games and takes her students on field trips involving book signing. Film rights for the Caraval trilogy were optioned by Twentieth Century Fox.
