Lisa Kleypas (born 1964) is a best-selling, RITA award-winning American author of historical and contemporary romance novels. She has written 21 novels and her books have been published in fourteen languages. Kleypas began writing her romance novels during her summer breaks from studying political science at Wellesley College and at the age of 21 sold her first novel. Kleypas has been a full-time romance writer since selling that first book. She lives in Washington with her husband, Gregory, and their two children.
