Gillian Flynn
Gillian Schieber Flynn is an American author of crime thrillers. Flynn has published three novels, Sharp Objects (for which she won the 2007 Ian Fleming Steel Dagger award), Dark Places, and her best-selling third novel Gone Girl. She was formerly a television critic for Entertainment Weekly. Recurring themes in her works include dysfunctional families, violence and self-harm. Her writing has been praised by several authors, with Stephen King calling her "A sharp, acerbic, and compelling storyteller with a knack for the macabre." Flynn grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and now lives in Chicago.
