Delia Owens is an American author and zoologist. Owens has authored several internationally bestselling nonfiction books that chronicle her life and work as a wildlife scientist in Africa, these include Cry of the Kalahari, The Eye of the Elephant, and Secrets of the Savanna. Her first attempt at fiction came with her debut novel Where the Crawdads Sing, the novel was an enormous success and debuted #1 on New York Times Fiction Best Sellers for 2019 and #1 on Amazon’s list of best-selling books of 2019.
