Christopher Paolini

Christopher James Paolini (born November 17, 1983) is an American author. He is best known for The Inheritance Cycle, which consists of the books Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance, and most recently The Fork, the Witch and the Worm. Homeschooled, he began writing short stories and poems at a young age, he visited the library frequently and had an insatiable appetite for reading. The idea of Eragon emerged in his teens and Christopher’s fascination with the magic of stories led him to craft a novel that he would enjoy reading. In 2006, Eragon was adapted for an action-fantasy film directed by Stefen Fangmeier. Christopher lives in Paradise Valley, Montana, where he wrote his first book.
